Meet Our Team

  • Our co-founder Caitlin

    Caitlin O'R. B. Carter, Ph.D.

    Chief Academic Officer & Co-Founder caitlin@wrightuniversity.net

Described by one student as possessing “a seemingly natural ability to [balance] caring for her students as people and as professionals,” Caitlin has been dedicated to her career in education for nearly 15 years.

During that time, she has consistently aided students facing obstacles put forth by the systems created in higher education.

Her passion for educating students as people and as language learners coupled with the persistent historical, social, and racial injustice in the United States led Caitlin to found her own university alongside Maren Rosenbach.

Currently Upper School Faculty at a Seattle-area private high school, Dr. Carter still finds time to spur Wright University along. It is her hope to see her legacy of encouraging learners to become leaders blossom at WrightU.

  • Our co-founder Maren

    Maren G. Rosenbach, MSL

    Chief Compliance Officer & Co-Founder maren@wrightuniversity.net

Maren's empathetic nature is the driving force behind her passion for public service. She began her professional career as a nurse, quickly learning how life circumstances define systems of inequality that leave many without access to adequate healthcare, food, shelter, employment, and education—all markers for well-being and success.

Additionally, Maren became a self-taught business owner as a young mother. After more than 20 years, the proceeds of her business enabled her to fulfill her lifelong dream of going back to school. Knowing her time in community college were stepping-stones in her education, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Women and Gender Studies and her Master of Studies in Law. As a non-traditional student and the wife of a Navy veteran, she saw how structures within higher education create inequities.

Upon entering four-year programs, her academic achievements were tokenized to promote diversity initiatives and recruit older students. Meanwhile, she was not presented with the same opportunities reserved for traditional students. As WU's Chief Compliance Officer and co-founder, she is dedicated to eradicating that tokenization in higher education.

Maren believes education is a human right, and equity must be met at every level of the organization. Wright University is an opportunity to effect change by creating equity and space for all voices to be heard and empowered.
